“ But here’s what I don’t understand about the average non-insane Christian: How can you use the bible to dehumanize other people and be any more sane than the aforementioned wackos? The story of Sodom and Gomorrah has people turning into salt as divine punishment for having an ounce of sympathy towards the gays. Or whatever that salt thing was supposed to mean? The point is, people were TURNING INTO SALT. How can you point to that as a cautionary tale when that story involves MAGIC. How can you dehumanize other people based on stories that involve ACTUAL MAGIC. How can you ruin someone’s life because of something written in a fantasy novel? ”
